STYLE TIPS
It takes a little practice to learn how to drive The Maggie dress and teach yourself which styles and shapes suit your body best. .but it’s worth it!!!…..just spend a little time in front of mirror…best to wear a nice high heeled shoe or strappy sandal while doing this and the right undies, watch the “How To” dvd and just play.
Adding the soft drape pant increases the number of looks you can attain. Most of the dress styles can be worn as a top….more blouson look (good for disguising any bumps and lumps) …also the Super Sash can be worn in 4 or 5 beach top styles with the pant….looks great.
1. The easiest Style to Start with is the One Sleeve Grecian to get the feel of the dress.
2. UNDERWEAR .Avoid bras or panties with bulging seams. Wear seamless panties, convertible Bra (strapless, criss cross etc.) or seamless body shaper works well.
3. If you find the dress a little loose around the neck or shoulder area don’t be afraid to roll the dress at the shoulder or use a great broche to gather the fabric and keep it in place. (somtimes a simple safety pin can do wonders..make sure it's sharp and wiggle through the fabric to avoid damage).
4. In some styles it’s best to wear a strapless bra or let your straps show…if they're pretty….also in a couple of styles your Bra may show at the back so if you can go braless ….lucky you… and if not wear a bandeau, complimentary body suit or bra.
5. Use the Super Sash as a wrap ..either off the shoulder or around the neck like a scarf or loosely tied at the back (bolero style) for a little more coverage if you want it.
6. *Shoogle or *Shoogling: Pull fabric 5 to 6” away from the body around the area you want to minimize and let it go then drape softly right, left or centre over the area.
Example: if you want to disguise the tummy area just pull the fabric over that area and allow more fabric to move into the area and let go and allow the excess fabric to fall over the area…try it a couple of times and you’ll have it, basically moving the fabric around to where it suits your body best.
